- Employers must submit a claim to their WorkSafe agent within 10 days of receiving it from the worker
- Workers with mental injury claims can access provisional payments for reasonable treatment while the claim is determined — continuing for up to 13 weeks even if the claim is rejected
- The scheme covers weekly payments, medical and like expenses, and lump sum entitlements
- Employers must plan and provide suitable employment for injured workers
- WorkSafe Victoria is the regulator, with claims managed through authorised agents
